Install Insytix tracking code — complete guide
Step-by-step: copy the snippet, install on WordPress, WooCommerce, Wix and more, and verify data flows into your dashboard.
<script src="https://.../tf.js"></script>
// Paste before </head>
This installation guide walks you through every step: where to copy your tracking code, how to install on WordPress, WooCommerce, Wix, and other platforms, and how to verify data is flowing into your dashboard. No advanced technical skills required — most installs take 3–5 minutes. Insytix is built for Israeli businesses: Hebrew reports, push alerts to your phone, and real-time lead and order tracking.
Why website tracking matters
Without tracking, you miss critical information: who visited, where they came from, whether they submitted a form, called, or bought. An Israeli service business advertising on Facebook and Google must know which campaigns generate leads — not just clicks. An online store must know about orders and abandoned carts in real time. Insytix gives the full picture: visitors, leads, orders, traffic sources, and push alerts — without waiting 24 hours for reports.
- Leads and inquiries — who contacted and from where
- Orders and abandoned carts — for stores
- Traffic sources — UTM, Google Ads, Facebook
- Push alerts — fast customer response
Before you start
Before pasting code on your site, make sure you have an active Insytix account (14-day free trial — no credit card). You need access to your site admin: WordPress Admin, Wix Editor, or store backend. If a developer manages your site, send them the code or invite them as a collaborator in the dashboard.
- Active Insytix account
- Access to site settings or plugins
- 3–5 minutes of your time
- Optional: Insytix WordPress plugin (recommended)
How tf.js works
tf.js is Insytix's tracking script — small, loads with defer, and doesn't block the page. It identifies itself via a unique ID (ins_…) and sends events to Insytix servers: page_view, form_submit, phone_click, orders, and more. The code supports multiple config sources (priority order): data-tracking-id on the script tag, window.__INSYTIX_CONFIG__, meta tags (insytix-tracking-id, insytix-endpoint), URL parameters, and default when loaded from insytix.co/tf.js.
- Lightweight script with defer — doesn't slow the site
- __INSYTIX_CONFIG__ block + meta tags — optimizer resilience
- Sends events to Supabase track endpoint
- Stores UTM and traffic source for entire session
Find your tracking code in the dashboard
Sign in to the Insytix dashboard and select your site (or create one with your domain — new sites redirect to the Embed page). Under **Embed** you'll find the tracking snippet and one-click WordPress or Wix connection. Copy the full block (tf.js with ins_… ID, __INSYTIX_CONFIG__, and meta tags) or use one-click connect. The code includes data-no-optimize="1" (LiteSpeed), data-cfasync="false" (Cloudflare), and defer.
- Dashboard → select site → Embed
- Copy the full snippet (not just the URL)
- Keep the tab open — you'll return to verify visitors
Dashboard layout: Embed, Features, and sharing
**Embed** — main setup page: automatic WordPress (Application Password) or Wix (OAuth app) connection, plugin ZIP download, HTML snippet, tracking health check and refresh. **Features & integrations** — enable and connect Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads, Google Business Profile, Facebook Ads, session recordings, and webhooks (paid add-ons per plan). **Site sharing** — the owner invites collaborators by email (view or view+edit); collaborators see data and features the owner enabled and pays for, but only the owner connects integrations and tracking.
Insytix plugin vs manual paste
On WordPress/WooCommerce, automatic connect from **Embed** is recommended: click Connect WordPress, approve access in WordPress (Application Password — not Google OAuth), and the system installs tf.js automatically. Alternative: download plugin ZIP from the same page or manual paste. On Wix: Install on Wix from Embed (OAuth) or manual Custom Code. On Konimbo/E-Shop: paste in admin panel. Don't duplicate — plugin + manual paste = double counting.
Install on WordPress
Recommended: dashboard → **Embed** → Connect WordPress (one click). Enter your site URL, approve access in WordPress Admin (Insytix Analytics), and the system connects and activates tracking automatically. The same plugin works for regular WordPress and WooCommerce — stores get the correct site type automatically. Alternative: download ZIP from the WordPress plugin accordion or paste in Header (Insert Headers and Footers). See the detailed WordPress guide.
- Embed → Connect WordPress (or ZIP / HTML)
- Alternative: Insert Headers and Footers → Header
- Don't duplicate the script — it creates double counting
Install on WooCommerce
After installing the script or plugin, set the site type to Store (WooCommerce) in Insytix. This enables order tracking, abandoned carts, and push alerts automatically. Most sites don't need an extra webhook — events are sent from your site to Insytix in real time via the Insytix plugin.
Install on Wix
On Wix: from **Embed** click Install on Wix — installs the OAuth app and embeds tf.js automatically; publish after install. Manual alternative: Settings → Advanced → Custom Code → paste before </head> → Publish. For Wix Stores — choose Wix Store site type when creating the site. See the detailed Wix guide.
Konimbo, E-Shop, and custom sites
For Konimbo stores — paste tf.js in admin panel, set Konimbo type, and connect Webhook for maximum accuracy (separate guide). For E-Shop — paste script in Head code area in admin and set eShop type. For custom sites — paste before </head> in main template. In all cases: keep defer, data-no-optimize, and data-cfasync as shown in dashboard code.
LiteSpeed, Cloudflare, and cache optimizers
Israeli hosting often uses LiteSpeed Cache, Cloudflare, and optimization plugins that merge JavaScript. Insytix ships ready: data-no-optimize="1" prevents LiteSpeed from combining the script; data-cfasync="false" disables Cloudflare Rocket Loader; defer loads asynchronously. __INSYTIX_CONFIG__ block and meta tags before script — backup if optimizer strips tag attributes. If no data: temporarily disable JS Combine/Minify, purge LiteSpeed and Cloudflare cache, and check View Source.
- data-no-optimize="1" — LiteSpeed
- data-cfasync="false" — Cloudflare Rocket Loader
- __INSYTIX_CONFIG__ + meta — config backup
- Purge cache after every change
Verify the installation
Open your site in an incognito window and browse a few pages. In the Insytix dashboard, under Real-time or Overview, you should see an active visitor (you). If nothing appears within a minute: check the code in page source, purge LiteSpeed/Cloudflare cache, and look for console errors. Submit a test form — check Leads tab. For stores — test order.
- Real-time visitors > 0 after visiting your site
- page_view events in the events log (optional)
- Green tracking status on Embed page
Common troubleshooting
No real-time visitors: code not in HTML (check View Source), cache not purged, or JS combiner removed config. Duplicate data: plugin + manual paste — remove one. Forms not counted: ensure HTML submit, not external iframe. Phone clicks not counted: only tel: or data-phone. Orders not arriving: check site type (WooCommerce/Konimbo/eShop). Console errors: missing endpoint in __INSYTIX_CONFIG__. Insytix logs a console warning if config is missing — never fails silently.
- No data → View Source + purge cache
- Duplicates → remove duplicate script
- Missing orders → site type + Webhook (Konimbo)
- Console warning → check __INSYTIX_CONFIG__
Privacy and GDPR brief
Insytix collects site usage data: pages viewed, conversion events, traffic source, form contact details, heatmaps, and optionally session recordings (if enabled — up to 24 hours, masked inputs). You're responsible for showing a privacy policy on your site and complying with Israeli Privacy Protection Law and GDPR if you have EU visitors. Recommended: cookie/consent banner, privacy policy, and explanation of what's collected.
Quick step-by-step checklist
Quick summary: (1) account + site, (2) Embed — connect WordPress/Wix or paste tf.js, (3) publish/cache, (4) real-time, (5) store — correct site type, (6) push, (7) UTM. Features — Google/Meta separately. If stuck — View Source, console, Embed status, support.
What you get after installation
Right after tf.js is active, the dashboard starts showing: real-time visitors, page views, leads from forms and phone clicks, traffic sources (UTM, Google, Facebook, direct). For stores with correct site type — also orders, abandoned carts, and revenue. Enable push alerts, connect Google Analytics and Search Console, and view session recordings (if enabled). All in Hebrew, with an interface built for Israeli business owners who don't want to learn Google Analytics.
Still stuck? Request team assistance
Try the steps above first. If tracking still isn't active — dashboard → **Embed** → at the bottom, **Request team assistance**. We need site admin access only (WordPress Admin, Wix collaborator, etc.) — not hosting panel. Application Password or temporary user recommended; passwords are not stored in the app.
- WordPress / Wix / CMS admin access
- Application Password or temporary user (recommended)
- Notes + contact email
- No hosting panel or backup file needed
Frequently asked questions
Does the code slow the site? tf.js is small (a few KB), loads with defer, non-blocking — unlike heavy scripts. Need Google Analytics separately? Not required — connect GA from dashboard for historical reports; Insytix and GA complement each other. Multiple domains? Add another site in Insytix (each domain = separate tracking ID). Works with Elementor/Divi/WPML? Yes, site-wide. Session recordings = stat events? No — recordings are a separate tool; leads count from form_submit without recording. How fast until data? Seconds in real time. Install on staging? Yes, with separate Insytix site. Free trial? Yes, 14 days no credit card.
Summary
Installing Insytix is a one-time action: paste or connect tf.js, publish, purge cache if needed, and verify in real time. Insytix plugin recommended for WordPress; Custom Code or Wix connect for Wix; Webhook for Konimbo. From there you'll get leads, orders, phone alerts, and Hebrew reports. If stuck, contact support from the dashboard or use platform-specific guides.
